Rules for Silent Auction
1. You are allowed to purchase a maximum of 3 players from the Silent Auction.
2. You will be given 10,000 points by default on entry, and an additional 10,000 points can be purchased for Dh 10.
3. As the auction is silent, the team will write a specified amount and submit it to the auctioneer; the highest bid wins the player.
4. Be careful not to overspend; in the event of running out of points (20,000) - for example, if you buy one or two players and fall short of points to buy the remaining player/s, then you will not be allowed to purchase the player from the auction pool but you will have to fill the slot with players from the normal pool. Advice - try to identify the players you want and place your bids wisely.
5. There will always be enough players to buy; 8 teams will purchase a maximum of 3 players. Since there are 30 players in the Silent Auction pool (30-(8x3)) the 6 unsold players will move over to the normal pool.
NOTE: Some players are missing from the Silent Auction/normal pool. This is because they will be coming late, and their auction/purchase will be dealt with later.
6. In case you are a retard and do not understand any of the above, call an organizer and clarify your shit.
7. The Silent Auction is tomorrow (8th March 2010) during the Director's Meeting.
8. The remaining team selection and the corresponding rules shall be announced soon.
9. A maximum of 6 foreign players are allowed in your squad, out of which a maximum of 5 can play in a game.
10. A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 bowlers are allowed.
11. 1 Wicketkeeper, obviously.
12. Don't ask dumb questions. Else you shall be reported to the Police. Or DJ. (We will give you the choice in case this happens)
